Help please...I have made a batch of this tonight, can't wait to try it. Was just a bit confused though, do we just leave all the flavouring ingredients at the bottom of the jar? Or should it be mixed? Thank you.

My hens are out on my hay pasture, they're moved every few days to a new area for them to "use up". They eat up all the alfalfa then start on the timothy. We supplement them with layer feed, but they eat very little. They're yolks are dark orange, the whites are firm, and the yolk stands up in the pan. :-) The flavor of a pastured egg is like nothing you've had before, no after taste like store bought eggs either. The only complaint I have is that I can't get them to stick around long enough for them to age, in order to hard boil them!!

Milk soaked liver (soak several hours/overnight) that's been picked over and connnective tissues or veins removed, slow-fried w/onions and bacon is still one of my fave 'comfort foods' due to the fact that my Mom made this a few times a month when we were growing up (it was good for us!) You might want to try these, just to see if anyone likes 'em. I do. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/liver-dumplings/
