Monsanto and the NANOtech Sectors Now Propagandizing Our Children

I know I said in my last rant post about Monsanto’s donations to school gardens that I rarely write about them.  Now here I am in the same week posting more about it.  BUT YOU HAVE TO KNOW!  Mon-satan-o and NANOtech (see my hatred for NANOtech here and here) are now writing children’s books and coloring books!  And what do you think about Waste Water Management Facilities creating a biosolids classroom poster discussing the benefits of using sludge (human waste) to grow flowers and such.  Nice, right?  YES, this is happeningHere’s the article about all of the above!

NEXT STEP, THE SCHOOLS

As a former teacher, I am well aware of how propaganda crap like this makes it into the classroom.  Sure, you as a parent may never buy ridiculous books like these, but what about your school district that has ties to local politicians who are in Mon-satan-o’s  and NANOtech’s back pockets?  We can no longer sit back and hope these problems go away – especially when they are targeting our children.  First with DONATIONS to school garden programs and NOW with CHILDREN’s BOOKS?

Who else did they write these books for if not the schools?  Do you think that unsuspecting parents will think these books look like a good read for children?  “Oh look! What a fun way to explain how to grow sunflowers in our human sh*t excrement!” or ‘OHHHH, I bet little Johnny would love to know all about BIOTECHNOLOGY and how GMOs will save the world.” Yeah, you and I both know that is not how any parent chooses books for their children.  This is total propaganda to be used in the schools!

JUST LABEL IT!

Melodramatic, you think?  How did we get to this place where these companies have so much control?  As a nation, we (meaning me also) sat back and thought that government and companies had our best interest at heart.  Surely, they wouldn’t make crap that makes us sick — on purpose, right?  Surely, government officials knew what they were approving when they allowed these companies to self-manage themselves and provide data from their OWN studies.  Surely, they aren’t out to just make money or control the world food supply.  That’s crazy talk, right?  Uh, wrong!

Mon-satan-o and NANOtech, both, are alike in this — their defense is that opponents can’t prove it’s dangerous.  However, they can’t PROVE it’s safe.   In my opinion, the best way to prove its safety is to label.  PLAIN and SIMPLE.  Labeling allows choice.  Those who have no problem eating GMO’s can ‘prove’ how healthy it really is by differentiating themselves from the non-GMO eaters.  It makes no sense that Mon-satan-o and NANOtech are fighting any legislation that can help prove the safety of their products — UNLESS OF COURSE THEY KNOW IT’S NOT SAFE.

So, what better way to try and win the hearts and minds of the 80%+ of the ADULTS (many of whom are parents) who want labeling of GMOs?  Win over the KIDS!  Propagandize the KIDS!  Why is it necessary to spend this money unless it’s a PR move?  Kids can’t vote.  Kid can’t get jobs.  Kids don’t BUY the groceries.  But kids DO PULL on the heartstrings of the parents.

This is LOW and SICKENING, even for the likes of MON-SATAN-O and NANOtech!

I have a real problem with Monsanto. My dd attended public school her 9th grade year and was in the FFA. They have to work to pay for the jackets or buy them outright. The teacher told me that Monsanto would pay $10 toward it and I told her that my dd wouldn’t have one if any money from Monsanto was used to buy hers. I do not like Monsanto in the least.

  • Hey got here from the barn hop over on newlifeonahomestead.com, I love this post. I found it very informative. I have been struggling to make the switch to locally grown or homegrown for some time now. I have also been informing all my friends and family about Monsanto and other companies like that. We as a people are strong, but the government is trying to make us forget that. They are ploting against us and trying to disarm us so they can control us. Thanks for keeping the conversation going. I will be contacting my kids’ school Monday and making sure they (my kids at least) do not have anything to do with these books. Thank you for bringing this to light.

Glad you liked it Mona. Just trying to keep people informed to the craziness that is happening out there. So happy that there are people out there like you who actively voice your opinion in school curriculum and book choices. :) Have a great holiday weekend!
