FEATURED POSTS
Last week was another great week. To view the other fantastic posts from last week click here. And let me also say, that we know we are not the best site for driving traffic to your blog — there are better ones, but we appreciate you sharing your ideas and recipes with us anyway. We truly enjoy them. You inspire us!
BLOW THE GROCERY BUDGET IN 10 EASY STEPS
Let’s start off with a little laugh to end the week shall we? I love Melissa @Dynomom blog and this post is one of the million reasons why!
Natural Family Planning Solution
France @Beyond the Peel always has great tips and posts! This week she brought us a solution she uses as an alternative to birth control pills. I have never heard of this option. It may be worth a gander if you are shopping for options other than the ‘pill’.
Stan @Tender Grass-fed Meat came up with MANY reasons why grass-fed in entirety is so important! Grain finished cows are not without their problems.
Here are the rules:
1. Everyone who posts must place a link back to this blog on the post they are linking (not your home page or other page). Freaky Friday is about sharing what you have done as well as others. You will be removed if you don’t link back.
2. REAL FOOD only! No processed (this means refined sugars too), canned, margarine, hydrogenated vegetable oils, unfermented soy, etc. If using grains they must be PROPERLY prepared (soaked, sprouted, or fermented). Also, please be aware that we will not allow non-homeopathic, store or pharmaceutical type products being promoted here (especially related to skin care or health). Naturally derived ingredients only please.
3. NEW RULE: Please, no product promos! Feel free to post giveaways here, but if you are selling a product or gain from the sale of any item please do not post it here.
4. Please help us by a Retweet and Facebook link to this page and any sites you visit! Be sure to comment on others posts as well and let the bloggers know you were there.
5. Please leave a brief comment about your post. If this is your first time commenting on our blog, you will have to wait to be moderated just this one time.
If you don’t have a blog we still want to hear from you! Please leave your tips or recipes in the comments.
Thank you!

Hi! This week I posted on stinging nettles, including a recipe for nettle paté. I also posted on why we need to label Genetically Modified foods, which most people don’t know make up 70% of all foods on grocery store shelves and have never been tested for safety and are implicated in everything from food allergies to infertility.
California is poised to become the first state in the nation to require labeling of GMO foods, and WE REALLY NEED HELP to beat Monsanto. If the labeling initiative passes in CA, the rest of the nation will follow.
Thanks for hosting and have a great week!

Thank you so much for featuring my post! I’m honored. My post this week is about the tradition of cooking a thick grassfed rib steak cut from the chine area. This is one of the most traditional and valued cuts of beef. I still celebrate this fading tradition, because it tastes so great!

Hi Jen & Leslie! This week I’m beginning a series on the household economics of real food. I’m kicking it of with Is Real Food Really More Expensive?. If anyone has any questions about buttermilk this post may help. Also, I’ve shared my disastrous attempt to make a plain white cake healthier. I plan to give it another shot soon, so stay tuned!

Wow, thanks for the shout out, girls! I always love this blog, too! This week I am linking a post about switching to natural products and making peace with natural hair and making peace with hair in general. It is tough to be more accepting of ourselves, so I was pretty transparent about my own experiences.
